a few weeks(months?) back i started a mock comic page to see if i still remembered how2comics, but some panels i got fussy with and this wound up being left unfinished
damn nigga it feels good to draw again in a way that doesnt have me quitting five minutes later
heres some fake panels thrown next to each other that i doodled
she’s 7 heads tall, okey den
i bought a shitload of gun magazines when i was out of town and have been reading them religiously
i hope real life is like in fallout where if i just read these things constantly i’ll know how to draw guns easier (this one was done without reference)
there i drew stuff yay i guess the guy top left was inspired by watching Electric Dragon 80000V the rest are just characters and a doge with a hat
also fun bad joke i tried going anime with ramona but it looks like anything else i’d draw oops fuck
looks like ekkehard’s face gets longer with every iteration i draw of him
jeez calm down noraiya you havent disappeared yet ive just been kinda out of it lately
honestly you should be more worried about being a floating head with lapels attached
i finished this some time ago but forgot to turn it into a .png file and upload it (first person to accuse me of drawing lupin legs wins a prize of fuck-nothing)
expression runs for Noraiya and Goetzl, the latter of which is quickly becoming a favorite of mine to draw.
practice on drawing Noraiya, particularly on making it less painful during future attempts
did you know? If you google “Noraiya” I’m on the first page, and “Noraiya Sanelonda” only has 2 results, being my deviantart and twitter.
as a further note, I don’t think I’ll ever draw her holding her rifle properly
seriously dawgs I am having WAY TOO MUCH FUN with this comic! I can’t wait to work for reals on it and clean it up agughghg THESE ARE SUCH FUN THINGS TO DO
if you can’t read the handwriting it’s no biggie because I can and that’s all that matters BJ
so I’m already drafting my contemporary western idea! I’m excited to put actual effort into this, but I don’t wanna jump the gun, get stuck somewhere, and wind up not finishing, so I’m gonna draft first for sake of doing it bit by bit.
It’s something I want to see to the end for once!
oh, and none of you would remember, but I decided to use my old one-off character from a sci-fi western as a filler character of sorts, ahaha
I’m talking about The Truth, except now instead of sludge revolvers and rocket boots, he’s just a conspiracy theorist nutcase who’s meant to bring up how exactly this contemporary western is considered contemporary. I guess it’ll be more apparent what I mean when I actually put out more for this.
more scribbles of Nora (and one of Ramona). Didn’t feel like coloring because I want a real complicated Day of the Dead-inspired color scheme for her casual attire.
a color guide I guess to Noraiya.
That’s a Mexican flag on her rifle if I couldn’t make that clear enough.
Came up with a use for the name “Noraiya Sanelonda.”
A western-appropriated bounty hunter character designed to further flesh out the western-themed crime drama I had in mind for future-Ramona
I’m not sure whether to put something under that eyepatch or just leave it to be obvious.
I definitely want her color scheme and style to be very calavera-esque, candy-skulls and shit, Dia de los Muertes style.
the lower one came out through force of habit :\
